Navasota Blues

     Navasota Blues is a visual interpretation of the varied emotions evoked by blues music. Inspired by Navasota's title as the "Blues Capital of Texas", these images document my feelings, impressions, and experiences in Navasota and Grimes County. This includes time spent listening to Mance Lipscomb songs. It is with his music in my mind and ears that these photographs were created and processed. Each image is titled with a song written or performed by Mance Lipscomb.

This work was created as an artist in residence at the Horlock House in Navasota, Texas.
